Home visits

About Jo's home visit service

3. What do I need to have at home for my sessions? You do not need any special equipment or a lot of space for your sessions. Jo will work with what you have available in your home and will bring any equipment she needs. She will also advise you on any simple equipment that might be helpful to have between sessions.

4. Can family members or carers be involved in my sessions? Absolutely. Jo is always happy to involve family members and carers in sessions where appropriate, providing guidance and support to help them feel confident in supporting your recovery at home.

5. How long does each session last? Session length will depend on your individual needs and will be discussed and agreed with you following your initial assessment. Jo will always make sure your sessions are the right length to support your rehabilitation without leaving you exhausted.

Treatment and rehabilitation

About your physiotherapy sessions

1. What happens at the first appointment? Your first appointment is an initial assessment. Jo will take time to understand your condition, your current challenges and what you would like to achieve from physiotherapy. From there, Jo will put together a personalised rehabilitation plan tailored entirely to your goals and your needs.

2. How often will I need to see Jo? The frequency of your sessions will depend on your individual needs, goals and the nature of your condition. This will be discussed and agreed with you following your initial assessment and reviewed regularly as your rehabilitation progresses.

3. How long will my rehabilitation take? Every person and every condition is different, so it is difficult to give a definitive answer. The length of your rehabilitation will depend on a number of factors including your condition, your current level of function and the goals you want to achieve. Jo will discuss this with you following your initial assessment and will review your progress regularly.

4. Will I be given exercises to do between sessions? Yes. Jo will provide you with a home exercise programme to work on between sessions, helping you to make the most of your rehabilitation and keep progressing between appointments. Your programme will be tailored entirely to your needs and reviewed regularly as you develop and improve.

5. Can Jo work alongside my other healthcare providers? Absolutely. Jo is happy to liaise with your GP, neurologist, occupational therapist or other members of your healthcare team where appropriate, to make sure your rehabilitation is joined up and consistent with your wider care.

Pricing and funding

About costs and pricing

1. How much does a session cost? Please get in touch directly for details on pricing and Jo will be happy to have an open and transparent conversation about costs.

Jo does not currently accept payment through insurance providers or other funding schemes. If you would like to find out more about costs, please do not hesitate to get in touch and Jo will be happy to talk you through everything.
